The Central Penn College women's soccer team defeated Pratt Institute, 3-1, Saturday in an away game in Brooklyn, NY.
After falling behind 1-0 at the 17:28 mark on a goal by Pratt?s Audrey Howard, the Lady Knights quickly bounced back. Four minutes later, Central Penn's Wislene Verna netted a goal to tie the game. Nine minutes later, Verna scored again, putting the Lady Knights up for good. It was her sixth goal of the season.
Central Penn's Kayla Murren added a goal in the second half to seal the win for the Summerdale, Pa. kickers, who are now 3-2 on the season. Murren was assisted by Hannah Garber on the score.
The Lady Knights have a busy week ahead. Tomorrow, they travel north to face the Defenders of Clarks Summit. On Thursday, they head south to play Trinity Washington in the DC area. And on Saturday, they host Patrick Henry at Adams Ricci Park, a game which is part of a Homecoming double-header.
The women's soccer team plays at 2:30 p.m., with the men following at 5:30. Come on out and root your Knights onto victory!
