Knights suffer first defeat of the 2018 season

Although the Knights got off to a flying start, their lead wasn't enough to secure a victory, suffering their first loss of the season against Williamson Trade.

The Knights got the scoring started with Taylor Martin (right), after a through ball from Kyle Stauffer. Several minutes later, Williamson Trade tied the game 1-1. Entering halftime, the Knights looked like the better team.

Everything changed in the second half. Williamson Trade took the lead moments after halftime, before quickly tacking on another score to make it 3-1. The Knights tried desperately to get back into the game, but they could not break down the Williamson Trade's tough defense.

Williamson Trade added two more goals to make it 5-1, and the Knights walked off the field with their first defeat of the season to fall to 5-1-1.

The Knights return to action on Oct. 3, when they travel to Williamson Trade.
