“We remembered what happened last year in the USCAA D2 National Championship semi finals; so, we wanted to come out and make a statement,” says sophomore guard Joel Zola who scored a game high 17 points. Juwan Gooding added 13 points, leading the Knights to an 84-56 victory in Tuesday night’s game against rival Penn State York.

Penn State York tried to keep up with the Knights as they were down nine in the first half, but the Knights flipped a switch, maintaining a massive lead the entire game.

The Knights' defense caused chaos for the Nittany Lions, who had 28 turnovers and shot only 36 percent (18-of-50) from the floor. Daylin Davis had a game high 6 steals.

York was simply outmatched by Central Penn who dominated the boards, outrebounding York 44-27. Both Noah Baylor and John Blanc tied with 8 rebounds. Richard Grant of PSY had a game high 12 rebounds and 14 points.

This is a promising start for the Knights who face Penn State Worthington on Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. in Scranton, Pa.
