Men's Soccer bests Penn State Schuylkill 4-2

The Central Penn men's soccer team took the field Sept. 12 for their second home game of the season. Hosting Penn State Schuylkill, the Knights played an intense game to the very end.

The first goal came from the Knights. Captain Mark Swope was taken down inside the box and the penalty kick was taken by Zachary Morrill; putting the Knights up 1-0. Shortly after the first goal, a beautiful cross came from Morrill on the left to Swope, who nailed the ball into the back of the net. The goal put the Knights up 2-0. Schuylkill scored their first goal a few minutes later. Half time report left the score 2-1 with the Knights in the lead. 

The second half started and Schuylkill scored to tie the game up. A red card was given shortly after to Schuylkill for a flagrant foul in the Knights defensive end. Concluding that, the Knights took the lead, scoring again off of a direct free kick outside the box. Kyle Stauffer took the kick, placing the ball beautifully in the right corner of the net; putting the Knights up 3-2. Again, in the last few minutes Jordan Emenheiser passed the ball to Morrill on the left, who dribbled down the field and scored again. Final score gave the Knights the win, 4-2.
